Xeomin

Simply put, a small needle is used to inject Xeomin into the area of concern such as the forehead or crow’s feet. This then prevents acetylcholine from causing muscle contractions that leads to the formation of wrinkles. Hence, causing a temporary relaxation of the muscles that create a younger looking you. 

Individuals may notice some results within 24-48 hours, however, full effects are usually seen around 7-14 days.

Results vary by individual and can typically last anywhere from 3-6 months with a gradual return of muscle movement. 

Due to a small needle being injected into the skin, there is a possibility of bruising at the injection site. As skilled injectors, we try our best to avoid this. 

Some tips to prevent bruising include avoiding blood thinners for one week (only if cleared by your physician) such as aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, etc., avoiding alcohol 2-3 days, avoiding exercise the day of and taking arnica tablets one week before your appointment.

Research suggests that Xeomin is safe when performed by a health care professional. Xeomin is FDA approved for cosmetic purposes. It is minimally invasive cosmetic procedure performed million of times in 2020 alone.

Serious side-effects are extremely rare. Some common side-effects include bruising, headaches, and droopy eyelids. Please speak to your provider about your allergies and medical history during your consultation.
