Filler is hyaluronic acid which is a substance that naturally exists in the body and provides suppleness and moisture to skin. Due to a small needle being injected into the skin, there is a possibility of bruising at the injection site. As skilled injectors, we try our best to avoid this. Some tips to prevent bruising include avoiding blood thinners for one week (only if cleared by your physician such as aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, etc.), avoid alcohol 2-3 days, avoid exercising the day of and take arnica tablets one week before your appointment.
